To online journal or not to online journal, that was the question. Is it too narcisstic to put my thoughts and experiences in a public forum as if they were relevant to others? Perhaps. But I find that it feels more like putting a message in a bottle and sending it out into the ocean of bytes. It might be lost among the millions of other web pages, perhaps to be discovered occasionally, sometimes passed by and once in a while striking a chord with some unknown visitor.
Since I wrote that I have discovered that more people encounter this journal than I had thought likely. As a consequence it has become less candid than it began. I am more careful to avoid saying things that might hurt someone I know reads it, and though some may find it more explicit than they are comfortable with , I am far less explicit than I am inclined to be with at least one of my sons reading it, and who knows who else. Nonetheless it has been interesting for me to write and to reread at times. I have gained insights about myself from the process of writing it and through going back to reread.
I stole the drop down box code from Tamara's journal site and adapted it. Her updated journal is now Tamara's Tangy Teasers). Thanks Tam! The lovely left border came from Pambytes Free Clip Art and Web Graphics. Unfortunately they are no longer at the same location and I don't know whether they are truly gone or moved. My virtual office for Astrological Counseling can be found at Visit my Virtual Office at Kasamba although soon I will have my own astrological website up again.
