As usual I talked with Faol in the morning. He was still upset about some issues with one of his lovers and had decided to see her less but continue to see her rather than break up with her. I thought that was a better option because it would give them time to continue to try and work out their differences. Although I have talked with her since, and she thinks it is not a good idea because they will be together less to work out their differences. She seems to believe that they will have the same problems but will not have the time to get past them and into a good place with each other. I hope they can find a way to work it out.
While talking with him, I got dressed to go shopping. Tom and I headed out shortly after that to run some quick errands: po box, rent a couple of videos, food shopping for our guests coming this weekend. When we got home we did some email and had a snack, then went to do the clean the toilet, scrub the shower floor, vacuum the carpet thing. Through the years we have done less and less of that, figuring our friends can either deal with the real us or not. And I suppose that my trips to Faol’s house, which is always in a state of construction has changed my view of what constitutes a real mess.
I made dinner and Tom finally installed service pack 2 on my computer. It doesn’t seem to have created any problems so far but it didn’t help the game Aura, Fate of the Ages, runs any better. The next thing I have to try is to uninstall it and reinstall it and see if that helps any. It ran for a while when Faol first got it then locked up. After that it locked up at the beginning every time I tried to run it, so wouldn’t play at all. Maybe reinstalling it will give me some game time again. I would like to at least be able to show it to Tom even if we can’t spend much time playing it.
Our guests, Craig and Jean, showed up about 8 pm, and we had a nice evening
talking with them.
