Thanksgiving Day

I got up quite late because I hung out just staying in bed with Tom. Mom was up and I made tea. Vivre Draco was sleeping on the sofa but not for long as we talked quietly in the kitchen near him. We had breakfast and slowly got moving, well not moving exactly but up.
I went into the bedroom and called Faol. We usually need to have contact to normalize our relationship after we have had a difficult time and resolved it. The next conversation helps us to feel reconnected. We had a very sweet time. Mom got antsy and wanted to know what to do about dinner so I got off and got the cooking started.
My brother had ordered the entire dinner precooked, which he then delivered yesterday so we only had to heat up the turkey and side dishes. We had brought potatoes to make mashed potatoes as it is a favorite of mine. We also picked up canned sweet potatoes for the traditional sweet potato casserole with mini-marshmallows on top. Tom was very helpful and did the slicing of turkey and peeling of potatoes.
We had a nice family dinner. Vivre Draco had a headache and has been tired all day. He is also pretty bored. Ah well. He should have brought something to entertain himself. My brother called and he and I had a nice conversation. Part of it was about my mom and how forgetful she has gotten. It is hard on him.
I was sorry that Lebleu and sereneshaman couldn't be with us but it was good
to have a family dinner anyway. We will probably be doing more of them to
some extent now that Mom is only a 4 hour drive away instead of a lengthy
airplane ride away.
