When Faol got home last night we went out to Von’s for the food shopping, then came home and started to watch Peacekeeper Wars again but the phone rang. It was a woman that I know from CAW. Faol is getting to know her by phone and they are discussing the possibility of his fathering a child for her. In the meantime we had to turn the tv off so he could talk with her. It shouldn’t be a big deal but since I already lost time with him Thursday morning because of his conversation and now again it triggered my feeling that I would always take second place to whoever called or whoever is his newest interest. When he got off the phone he apologized for disappointing me again. Then he went to take a hot bath and I went to bed.
Today we got up and got moving because we had to get out to the Tax Assessor’s office. This was the last day Faol could pay his property taxes without penalty. We waited in line for quite awhile but it didn’t take as long as he had expected. Afterwards we went to a tool place because Faol wanted to buy tools for Tom to work on our tractor. He pored over the catalog choosing a set of 125 tools of medium quality that he thought would do the job and also picked a couple other sets of wrenches and pliers. This store deals with the school district so Faol gets a discount, I think he said, 30%. It took him much longer to choose the tools than it did to stand in line at the Tax Assessor’s. We got home just in time to finally finish the Peacekeeper Wars and then it was off to work for him.
I had a big salad for lunch and called Tom. So basically the rest of the
day was laundry, dishes, exercycle, make curry pumpkin soup, make my dinner,
work on coding and writing my journal, and now I am watching Stargate
on the SciFi channel.
