Faol took me out shopping for drapery fabric. We walked around the textile area for hours going into many stores and asking for burgundy material. At one store I got a sample of one I was thinking about buying then used that to show at the other stores but I didn't find anything quite like it. I began to think I should just go back to the store with one that I almost bought but the roll didn't have quite enough yardage but it was longer than the roll width I had used to calculate the needed amount of fabric. But Faol said he wouldn't let me make any decisions right then because I was too tired to think straight so instead he told me we were done for the day. Annoyingly he was really right. I had topped out from the stimulus of all the fabrics and was feeling confused. I also needed to eat so probably had a blood sugar drop.
We stopped at East Japanese for a sushi lunch. I really enjoy that place. Usually we go for the Salmon Monday, which is quite good but all salmon. For lunch I had more of a variety with their sushi plate, which has two kinds of rolled sushi and then 6 of the oblong rice topped with a piece of fish from shrimp, to tuna, to yellowfin. I hope we do it more often. We got home just as Faol needed to go to work.
I spent the day working. I took a heavy speaker (the size of a small round end table) up stairs, sigh I shouldn’t have. It was too heavy really and I ended up hauling it up a stair at a time. I carefully bent my legs and hauled up, took a deep breath and did the next one, all the way up. I rested in between.
Then I did the dishes, cleaned a shelf on the shelf unit in the kitchen, did more dishes that had been on the shelf and were dusty and yucky. I made sweet potato pie and then did those dishes. I made potato slam, and did the dishes. In between I did the laundry and dumped the last 20 or so cans of liquid food to pour down stomach tubes, rinsed, dumped, rinsed, dumped. My neck and shoulder on the left side had a burning pain so I took 4 ibuprofen, then sat down to listen to the holosync cd. By the time I was done with it I felt much better.
Faol came home from work and called Joyful while we worked on cleaning things up. I am glad he was finally in the mood to get things done. We moved the aquarium, which was on a hexagonal table at one end of the sofa. The aquarium had water but no fish so it went to the basement. There was another little table there, which ended up on the other end of the sofa. Once that was cleared we moved a 3 ft by 9 ft mirror panel. He moved the sofa nearly up against the mirror, which cleared it from the throne. Now the sofa bed opens but there is no good place to put my computer down when I am getting up for a moment or so. He got off the phone so that he could give more attention to the work we were doing but it was kind of fun to have Joyful sharing the experience with us.
We moved the other mirror to one of the other walls. It had been in the dining
room and required quite a bit of maneuvering to get it over the bed from one
side to the other, through a doorway and into the living room, then laid down
and lifted back up to get it in the right direction, and finally stood up
again. But it didn’t fit well. Apparently the textured mud on the ceiling,
which looks quite good, made it a little lower so that the mirror didn’t
quite fit standing up. Eventually Faol got it moved into position and leaned
it slightly against the wall. He bathed, and I went to bed but couldn’t
sleep.
