A Mouse in the House

Wednesday March 16, 2005

Got up and out to take my walk early, did my other exercises. Faol called and we had a nice talk but he was funky and depressed, and falling asleep. Tom had a business appointment. I got the header sewn and the machine took the fabric fine. Yay! I thought I could work on pinning the pleats in the evening watching TV but that didn’t work out. It turns out I really need to lay it out on the table flat to measure and mark where the pleats go before pinning them so that I can get them even and relatively straight. So that is the plan for tomorrow.

I saw a moving dark out of the corner of my eye. When I turned and didn’t see anything I figured it was either a change in the light or my imagination, or something non-physical. But there it was a few minutes later moving back the other direction and this time it clearly had legs and was scampering. A mouse was in the house but it seemed big enough to be a rat from the blurred side vision view. A few minutes later I spotted it running across the living room towards the plants and it was definitely a mouse. Tom got out the traps and baited them placing one by the compost and two others in corners near where we had seen it. In some ways I hate doing that but I feel like it is my lair. If they would stay where I can't see them, not shit in my house, or eat my food I wouldn't care that much but they don't.

My new Paraliminal cd arrived. I am interested in hearing it and plan on listening to it when I go to bed tonight.
