Talking with Cheryl

Thursday April 14, 2005

Today was a usual day, up, Faol hot bath, me making tea and breakfast drink, then oatmeal for him. He called Joyful after we had some time to talk, and had his usual phone call with her. Leo showed up and I let Faol know. He asked me to bring his overalls up stairs so he could get dressed to come down. He spoke with Leo about the job then we went out to shop, getting more building materials, and odds and ends.

When he left I called his new interest, Cheryl, but she wasn’t home so I left a message. I called Tom and he was out walking on the land. Luckily he was up on the hill so had cell reception. We talked for a bit then Cheryl called me back so I took the call. It gave Tom a chance to head for home and get cleaned up and something to eat before calling me back. Cheryl and I had a long conversation, almost an hour and a half. I feel that I have a pretty good take on her attitudes toward a relationship with Faol so feel ok about it for the moment. We are going out Saturday night to a club that she also attends and I suggested that we could get together with her there. It seemed like an opportunity to get to know her a bit and to try and make her comfortable with the mix of relationships around Faol. It was a good conversation.

Then Tom and I talked while I worked on entering the receipts for March. I got perhaps 2/3 of them done and will finish that tomorrow. There is still almost two weeks out here so I should have time to get April done and the accounts reconciled.

Leo and his girlfriend, Mercedes, are still here working on the soon-to-be bedroom. It has electricity now, is insulated, and getting drywalled. I must admit as much as I am glad it is getting done I would prefer that they were leaving. It is after 7 pm and I feel a little constrained by their presence. Ah well. It is really good to see progress being made.

Faol and I plan on watching Epoch Evolution when he gets home tonight. We actually started it during lunch and watched about 15 minutes of it before he had to go to work. We were hoping to have a bit more time but errands took longer than expected.
