My Birthday

Monday June 13, 2005

It is my birthday today but I don’t feel well enough to celebrate it. I hope that isn’t an omen for the coming year. Faol wished me Happy Birthday first thing, almost, this morning. I woke up a bit late and made us breakfast and tea. We are still sick though Faol is feeling quite a bit better than he was as far as the cold is concerned. His arm is still hurting and he can’t do a lot with it but it has improved since BelSummer as well. Again we are watching TV.

Cherie came back (she was gone over night) and Faol took her to the police so she could turn herself in. We are not sure what it is all about but apparently there was an arrest warrant out for her for some time but she didn’t know about it at all. I am not sure how she found out about it but she arranged with a Police Officer to turn herself in. He said she would have to stay overnight but would be arraigned and released on her own recognizance the day after that.

I called Tom for my mother’s new number as I didn’t have it out here with me. I called her. I was just getting off as Faol drove up. I had invited him out to Salmon Monday so we got ready and went. He thought it was kind of trippy that I invited him to dinner for which I would of course pay, on my birthday. We had a very good meal though Faol had to use the chopsticks left-handed but he succeeded quite well, better than I usually do and I am left-handed. Afterward we rented Phantom of the Opera and Cellular. We watched Phantom of the Opera on his computer since it was a DVD. It was beautiful and strange. The sung dialog was difficult for me to understand through most of it though I did get the gist of it. It captivated my attention and time slipped by unnoticed. Stories of Beauty and the Beast always make me sad. Why doesn’t the Beast get the girl?
