Productive and Settling In

Wednesday August 3, 2005

I had trouble sleeping despite taking melatonin and going to bed late. So I was up early, very early. After tea and breakfast, and after I started a load of wash, I started updating the Grok Fellowship Handbook, adding an appendix with the full wording of the proposals we have already reached consensus on and linking each one to the phrase in the Handbook. The phone rang after I had only done a couple of them. I told her Faol was asleep but he called down to say that he was awake. As I handed him the phone I reminded him that he had agreed not to get on the phone for a long time first thing in the morning before we had a chance to talk about the schedule for the day. He talked for less that 15 min. I felt very good about his sticking to it. And we did talk about what we were going to do for the day.

Pretty much the only thing we had time for by the time we were ready to go out was some of the food shopping. We didn’t make it to the 99 cent store though so didn’t quite get everything I wanted. I was going to make a burrito casserole but I like to make it with refried beans and we were out. Faol pointed out that we had a lot of potatoes, some of which were sprouting so I decided to make a potato casserole instead. He picked up the ready made sushi at Trader Joe’s and we ate that for lunch in the car. I enjoyed spreading on the wasabi with my finger then feeding the piece to him while he drove.

After Faol left for work I switched laundry loads, did my Holosync meditation, my stretches and calisthenics, called Tom, did dishes, watered plants outdoors, folded the first laundry load, and made dinner. I called Saile’ while I was making dinner and had a very nice long conversation with her. I am enjoying getting to know her. Now I am writing here and watching Ellery Queen reruns on TV. In a few minutes I will do the hour on my exercycle, and if there is time before he comes home I will work on coding and uploading a page or two of my journal.

I have been in a good mood all day:)
