Evening at the Manor

Sunday August 14, 2005

I woke up late for a change, but headachy, generally achy, and with low energy. We ended up watching TV movies, and Vanity Fair, which we rented last night. I enjoyed the movie but I have been feeling sad this morning and afternoon for some reason. Faol butchered a watermelon for us quiet creatively, using the pineapple corer to create spiral pieces, over and over, again. We ate them while we watched the movie. It was fun.

I took shower and he took nap. I joined him for a bit. Then we got up and went to Gemini manor to meet with his new interest, Tracy. I was not really looking forward to it but trying to support him. She never showed, and the party was slow. We did have a couple of interesting conversations, one with Merlin, a ceremonial magician largely, from what he said. Then we met Mike who was sitting quietly behind something on the roof. Faol joked that he was a mannequin, and Mike added that he was an animatronic mannequin. Later we ran into him again and found out that he was an artist’s model so in some ways really was a mannequin. A lovely Russian pianist performed. She was a friend of Alex. He asked us to stay later to provide an audience for her, which we were happy to do. She was quite good. Finally we trundled off home. We watched a bit of movie then went to bed.
