Faol came home tired last night. He took a bath, which often wakes him up again but it didn’t work so we just went to bed. In the morning I got up and got ready to go to the airport. I was hoping I could get done quickly so that we would have extra time to make love before we had to leave, and succeeded in doing it. On the way to the airport though I told him that I felt he would have had the energy to make love if it had been one of his new interests or Joyful as I had seen just how sexual he was with her while we overlapped, and much less so with me. But he took my hand and said it wasn’t true. He feels for me in ways that he doesn’t feel for anyone else, except Raven of course. I believe that. So I did feel better about it but I still think that people respond to a new interest by having more energy and that a familiar, though well-loved person, is one that we can relax with, and not pull ourselves together for. I am sure there is an element of that from me with my partners as well.
The flights were fine, though with only 40 minutes between arrival time and departure at O’Hare it was tight. It takes something like 15-20 minutes to deplane and it is about 10-15 minute walk between the two terminals. I really do prefer to walk it as one more opportunity for exercise but this time I took the bus shuttle. I was getting anxious as we waited for the last minute stragglers but it only took 2 minutes to get to the terminal once we started. It probably took 1/3 of the walk time all together. When I arrived at the next gate they were making the final boarding call. There was quite a line though as two or three flights were all lined up on the tarmac and we went off in a mixed line. At several places there was a person asking us where we were going and then directing us to the nearby plane or indicating that we needed to continue. It was a little confusing and my rowmate, once we were seated, asked me if I were going to Madison and commented that she hoped the pilot was too:)
Tom was waiting for me and I moved him out of the way of foot traffic so
I could concentrate on kissing him. It was very nice. At home he had made
chili for dinner. Yum! I gave him the chocolate that I bought for him, which
had taken up nearly half my suitcase, and he gave me a doohickey that helps
open cans (this is very sweet of him as I have been having so much trouble
with my hands that my grip strength is really down) and a new shaver that
vibrates. LOL I haven’t tried it yet but I am wondering if it will be
a fun shave. It was strange for him to get me something like that but honestly
I had seen the advertising for it a couple of days ago and wished I could
try it out (without buying it.) So it was very coincidental that he would
get it now.
