A 3 Phone Call Day

Tuesday August 30, 2005

I woke up in the night with a headache again. After Ibuprofen and propped up to sleep sitting up I was able to get back to sleep but was too groggy in the morning to get up with Tom at 6 when his alarm went off for working in town. He kissed me goodbye when he left but I didn’t fully surface until about 15 minutes after he left. I did get moving though somewhat slowly.

I was doing my exercises when Faol called and didn’t finish the calisthenics though was able to do a session on the exercycle. We talked for almost two hours. Then I called Vivre Draco to see if he was coming this week to go through his boxes, no dice. He has other things he needed to do like continue to unpack the boxes from his last move, take apart his old bed to make room for his new one, oh and would we be willing to store the old one? I told him we would take it, and I would see if I could cannibalize it for the bed I want in the space we are going to work on for me. All in all though I think we actually talked for something like an hour! After calling Tom to let him know he was not bringing our son home with him after work I thickened the strawberry sauce to go over the angel food cake we bought the other day. I am expecting a call from Joyful as we are going to see if we can do some writing together. So today is going to be a phone day for sure.

I liked the following quote that I came across while surfing the web -- Emily Dickinson: "You don't have to be a house to be haunted."

And I went back to the site from yesterday only to find that their daily word had not been updated so I don’t think the site is active anymore.

Joyful called in the afternoon and we worked for a bit on a story idea that we are going to try writing together. We got a basic summary done and agreed on a couple of characters. She is going to design one of them and I am going to do the other. We have another phone appointment to discuss them on Friday. At this point we are still in the designing the environment and thinking about the general story line phase. It should be interesting to see if anything comes of this. I haven’t succeeded in finishing the other stories I have started. Maybe collaborating will keep me more focused on it … or not. We’ll see.
