Monthly Review of July

Last month seemed to have several themes: health and pain, socializing and renewed acquaintances, insight and inspiration (vision quest), manifesting a vision, and feeling a lack of motivation.

I came home from Faol’s with my shoulder acting up again, in quite a bit of pain, and I began to resume the therapeutic exercises that my personal trainer (when he was being that) shared with me. It was a problem for several weeks. My orthotics also were ready and I began using those, which relieved quite a bit of the toe and foot pain I had been experiencing for some time.

The month opened with socializing with Corey, his roommate, and his new girlfriend at a thank you dinner along with the other people who helped Corey and roommate, Karen, move. Then we headed out for a day at Sweetwood during Freedom Fest for more socializing and further renewal of my relationship with a previous lover. I got some nurturing with a massage from a friend to help the shoulder problem. Later in the month I managed time with both Jack and Larry. We visited with Linda and Ken, and I visited with Renee. Near the end of the month we went to see a movie and took Corey with us so, more or less, started and ended the month with him. While this may not seem like a lot of socializing for others it is way way more than we usually have.

I did a Visionquest, in which I had interesting, vivid dreams, (one of which was a death dream that was fascinating) meditated a lot, and did a self-actualization ecourse. One of the assignments was to work out a value hierarchy which was very interesting. I also did writing exercises. That was fun. I also had several ideas, one was to fix a space in the barn for me to use for fasting, writing, and as a guest room, another one was an idea for next year’s Belsummer Oracle rite.

I put together a Handbook for the Grok Fellowship and got it approved at Freedom Fest then started the process of trying to get it approved on the list. It met with some rather expected opposition but eventually passed. Hopefully that will lead to our moving forward but sadly, I have not been very optimistic about that.

Flylady still serves as an inspiration and I tried once again to get organized about cleaning and goals but it didn’t last long. Long enough to clean out half the refrigerator though, hope I do the other half soon.

We subscribed to Netflix and have been watching a lot of movies. That has been fun too. I fantasized about creating a community here on our land with a bed and breakfast/lodge as a means of income, and a place to host retreats. Tom had idea about my putting stories up and using GoogleAd or something to make money from my writing, which I am still considering.
