We had a wonderful weekend celebration of our 35th anniversary, which was actually today. We spent the afternoons of both weekend days having a Pink Squirrel, finger foods, and making love. We watched a couple of movies we rented, Spanglish, which we both thought was a very good movie, though not the comedy it implied by the blurb, and Dirty Shame, which was very strange and not a very good movie. Tom decided that he isn’t interested in seeing any more movies directed by John Waters.
Sunday morning I talked about an idea for a story, possibly a book, that I had been thinking about. Tom helped me work out some steps and a possible ending. I don’t know that I will actually try and write it but I enjoyed the process of coming up with it. And I feel like I have been more creative in the last few trip cycles, coming up with more ideas, even if I have not yet been able to manifest them. It has been a while since I felt it stirring. I hope it is a good sign. Faol called in the evening from a friend’s house to tell me that he missed me while he was off to the Mysteries for the weekend. It was very sweet of him.
Today I got up and got moving. I watered the plants, filled the humming bird
feeders, put the seed in the other bird feeder, took the compost out, harvested
some apples and more grapes, brought in some pots to transplant some of the
plants, did the dishes, started going through another of the children’s
boxes, did some email, the usual meditation and exercise.
