A Bit Down

We went out to the barn finally to work on the room out there. We weren’t able to accomplish much though. Tom decided how he wants to deal with the space between wall and floor. He thinks the expanding foam fronted with foam weatherstripping will do the job. But until we get that done the rest of the project is on hold.

I was depressed when I came back in. It might have been the slow down on my room or it could be the dust, dead insect parts, and perhaps mildew kicked up by the shop vacuum when I used it. I had to recan 4 jars of jam because they never sealed. It is annoying. One of them still didn’t seal after reheating and putting into jars with new lids. Today was garbage week so I collected the garbage then got the car. Tom has to load it in and out of the car for me while my hands are recuperating so off we went to the street. Faol called while I was getting the car from the barn so when we returned I called him back.

We had a lovely conversation about land, gold mine claims, biodiesel from algae, and the 3 wheeled vehicle he has been designing in his mind for some time. 2 ½ hours later Tom had finished making dinner and I told Faol I had to get off to eat with him. Other than updating my journal a bit – I am only a little under a month behind – I didn’t get much else done.
