Serenity

Woke up a bit late. I was going to have my breakfast drink sans banana but I couldn’t open the frozen juice. It was in a plastic container so I could microwave it to thaw it quickly but with the flareup I couldn’t get it opened. Sigh… I just had tea, did some email, and waited for Faol to wake up. I called Tom and we talked for a bit. He was going to be having oral surgery later and I was worried about him being alone with no one to take care of him.
Faol got up and took his usual morning hot bath and I suggested we go to the Brite Spot for breakfast as I had not been able to have my breakfast drink. But we ended up reconnecting again first so by the time we were ready for breakfast it was lunch. We took Christina with us and had a nice brunch, returning home in time for him to get ready for work.
I meditated after he left, then worked on getting a load of laundry done, and moving some of the things in the living room to begin to clear the space to my exercycle though that is going to take another day I think. Christina was ready to move back into the remodeled room and that helped clear things out of the dining room to some degree. I think some of the clutter must be Cherie’s things though.
Christina and I started watching Lost but she had a date with a friend so missed the last half an hour. Faol came home and decided we would head out to a late night showing of Serenity instead of waiting for tomorrow so off we went. It was the last showing of Serenity for the night. I had already seen it with Tom and enjoyed if very much. This time I was able to pay more attention to things on the periphery as well since I knew the story. And I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I must say that River totally fascinates me. In fact I could fall for her. Wow! The mix of intelligence, empathy, the fae quality of her mental condition, the danger and skill. She is an amazing character. It is funny though she reminds me of someone I know -- not that the individual is exactly like her of course, but looks very like her and even has some occasional similarity in mannerisms.
We stopped at Del Taco and Faol ordered 2 veggie works and 2 fish tacos along with French fries. I managed to just eat the fish taco and some French fries though. Yay! It worked out well since he will be able to take the second veggie works to work for dinner tomorrow. I called Tom in the evening to make sure that he had gotten home from his oral surgery safely and was doing ok. It disturbs me to be away from him when he might have needed me to drive him home or something. I am relieved and happy that he is doing fine.
When we got home Christina was home and on his laptop so he used mine. I
wanted to go to bed. He asked me to wait a minute then got involved in sending
an email so I headed off to bed without him. He came to bed but couldn’t
sleep even though it was after 3 am so got up again.
