Errands

Faol had a Dr’s appointment in regards to his back early this morning so I got up and made tea and my breakfast drink then got him up when I dressed. He had said he only needed 10-12 minutes but it actually took him half an hour to shower and dress. Then he took the wrong freeway and that added to the trip but we still made it on time. The Drs really didn’t listen to him and tended to ride over him in their speech but at least he got a renewal of his muscle relaxant prescription, and a referral to the chiropractor again. Then we stopped at the old office of the chiropractor though we knew they had moved. There was a notice on their door though with their new address so we stopped by there. It was very sweet. They welcomed him with pleasure. We got a grand tour of their new grand facilities.

Afterward we ran errands, stopping at Orean’s vegetarian fast food for lunch, the pet store for cat food, the water store for the obvious, a grocery store for my bananas, and fruit sweetened soy dream, a copy store for more copies of his marital dissolution papers to deal with the credit issues that have arisen due to his ex-wife’s bankruptcy. An odd thing happened at the pet store. We were standing in line and I smelled something unpleasant. I thought it must be the rawhide chews that were behind us as we stood in line. There was a man in front of us that I felt very strange about. I didn’t like him. His presence caused discomfort. I felt guilty/uncomfortable about feeling that way about someone I knew nothing about. I stepped behind Faol thinking to put him between the man and me as a shield. He put his arm around me for a bit and that did help. When we left the store Faol told me that the smell was coming from the man and that the energy coming from him was weird, even dangerous. It was nice to get some confirmation that someone else felt something peculiar from him as well.

By the time we were done with our errands it was just about time for him to get ready for work so we headed home where I made him tea, got his vitamins, and his dinner ready to go. After he left I did my rehabilitative exercises, started a load of laundry, called Tom who wasn’t home, then went to work on the finances. Tom called back eventually and we chatted while I worked. As it got near dinner time I filed some papers then went to make a mushroom quiche, which turned out pretty well. I used 3 eggs and half a pound of tofu with mushrooms, onions, garlic, soy cheese, and a handful of fresh basil leaves and a dash of Lawrey’s seasoned salt.

Since it is SF Friday I am ensconced on the sofa watching Firefly, Stargate, and Battlestar Galactica. Yay!!!
