Sushi at East

Saturday October 22, 2005

Sex in the morning, errands all afternoon. We left the house like 11 am and didn’t get home until 7 pm. Faol set the rented videos on the truck hood while putting the weedwhacker in the car. We discovered that he had left them there when we stopped at the video store. We dropped off the weedwhacker for servicing, stopped at a Mexican fast food place, and I had chiles rellenos and cheese enchilada with bean and rice. We tried to pick up the prescription but didn’t have the workman’s comp card with us so left it and headed home.

There was a message from Joyful that Lady Ferret is ill and unfortunately has reached a place in her life where it is time to let her walk the Rainbow Bridge. We called her back so Faol could give comfort and advice.

Afterward we headed back out again to finally drop off the movies and pick up the prescription. It was one of those vaguely frustrating and annoying days of running errands. But Faol stayed pretty calm, which made it easier for me too. Earlier I had mentioned that I would like to go have sushi again before I left and he surprised me by taking me to East for dinner. Yum! We had their Green River Roll again as well as a California Roll and a Rainbow Dragon roll. I wasn’t pleased with our waiter though. He seemed to largely ignore us. I had to ask for a tea refill at one point and it still took quite a while after that, plus Faol asking again for us to get it. Faol actually tipped only 10% because we were so displeased but I doubt it will register with him as a reflection of his service.

Afterwards we went home and I heated up Sake to drink while we watched Frankenstein. The program locked up after a bit though so we had to go back downstairs and watch it on my computer and share my earbuds to hear the sound with. It turned out we had both seen it before though. I didn’t remember most of it though. In just a few minutes before the end Cinnamon called and Faol took the call as he had not talked with her for some time. When he was done and we returned to the movie we discovered that there was only 2 minutes left to the end.
