Last Month’s Review

September was a month of recovery, health, and tests. The flare up of tendonitis/carpal tunnel has occupied my attention most of this month, annoying, frustrating, limiting, and depressing me. I also began hormone replacement therapy after going in for a mammogram, (normal) but had a period and had to get checked out since I am post menopausal. I had an endometrial biopsy, again normal. So I am good to go with the HRT. With all that we managed to harvest grapes and some apples and I made several batches of honey jams, and made grape pie. I started collaborating on a story with Joyful then had to wait all month for her part, dimming my enthusiasm quite a bit, so much so that I doubt it will manifest now.

Faol and I changed our phone pattern to 4 times a week instead of everyday and with Joyful’s visit there and then Raven’s visit, and Christina moving in the first three weeks we talked even less than I expected. It has been a bit strange. I thought I would have more time but it hasn’t really worked out that way or at least I haven’t made good use of the extra time. I wish that my hands had been in better shape so that I could have used the time to work on my projects.

Tom and I had our 35th anniversary and celebrated it over two days :)

We had a horse on our deck, and the rural tv was quite active with deer and turkey visiting us followed by a racoon. Three bucks wandered on by as well. I repotted the cactus and jade plants though they didn’t seem to have developed much of a root system.

The last week of the month we spent time looking at land in BC and in Oregon. We researched earth sheltered housing and methods of building them. Basically we daydreamed possible situations where we might be in community with Faol and possibly others. It was fun but we are no closer to actually doing it.

We went to Harvest Fest and Madison Pagan Pride. Vivre Draco came to visit for a few days to go through boxes and we spent another afternoon with him later in the month.
