The flight was fine. On the way out from Madison I sat next to an older man and we spent the leg to MN chatting about Bush, impeachment (he thought we should impeach Bush and Cheney together – sounded good to me), retirement, travel. I had a very pleasant time that went by way too quickly.
Once at LAX I got on the shuttle and headed home. Eventually I remembered
to turn on my cell phone, having turned it off for the flight. There was a
voice message from Joyful. It seems that Faol had ended up staying home from
work and had left to pick me up. I was not supposed to get on the shuttle.
Oops! I called her back but didn’t actually have her cell phone number,
which I discovered when I got DM instead. I called the house and Joyful told
me that Faol had already called in. He thought he had missed me because of
the traffic and wasn’t upset with me. Whew! The shuttle made great time
and I got there just as Joyful was leaving for a seminar. When Faol got home
we had a wonderful time reconnecting. I was relieved that Joyful wasn’t
home for a short time, giving Faol and I a few hours alone. Later when she
got home it was good to see her.
