We visited Cherié at the jail again. It took a long time as we missed the first round of visitation. Once we got up to her floor, I stood on the stool to share the phone with Faol. It is still awkward for him though as he has to lean sideways to put our heads together and it tweaks his back to stand that way for the whole 30 minutes. She seems better emotionally this time, stronger but in pain from her hip, which she says needs replacing. Her trial is the first week of January so by the time I get back we will know whether she is finally getting out, at least that is the news at this point. Since she couldn’t make bail she has been in jail for months and months.
Afterward we went to Phillipe’s for lunch (sawdust on the floor, ordering from the front and taking ones trays to a table but pretty good food and not expensive), then did some shopping. By the time that was done we went off to a seminar, which lasted for several hours. Faol got bored or overloaded and got up and wandered for a bit, interacting with others in one of the rooms. Later he came in and I was quite ready to be back with him so when he gestured for me to join him I happily did. He was ready to leave and the seminar had gone overtime already so we headed out.
We went home intending to have *great* sex. We spent hours at it. When we
were done I took a brief bath followed by Faol taking a longer one. We talked
quite a bit. Time really slipped away as we were in a world of our own. We
were planning on going out again later. I was tired but we both wanted to
go anyway as there was going to be a birthday celebration for a friend as
part of the night. Faol was lying on the downstairs bed and fell asleep. I
woke him up and he insisted that he was going to be okay and sent me up stairs
to get dressed. When I came down ready to go he was sitting up slumped and
mumbled that he just couldn’t make it. I made him tea but it didn’t
wake him up. He was very very groggy. So we stayed home.
