Went to the Movies

Friday December 2, 2005

Last night when Faol got home we had a few moments to talk. I was sharing with him that I had been disappointed that we didn’t have the time together before he went to work. Earlier in the morning I had promised him to send him off to work feeling real good. I was about to suggest that I do what I had promised to do when the phone rang and it was the girlfriend he talked with yesterday, again. Apparently she was having a problem that she wanted Faol to help her with. When I realized that they were starting in on processing and problems again I went upstairs with a book to read in bed with the new lamp Faol bought for me. I feel very good about being able to go upstairs now with a book to read so that I can get away from the phone calls that I don’t want to participate in.

Faol woke up in the early morning too hot and unable to go back to sleep so he got up for several hours. I went back to sleep but woke when he returned to bed. After making tea, having my breakfast drink, and getting ready to go out I got Faol up. We were going out early to pay his property taxes. The earlier the better to avoid the long lines. As it turned out though there was no line at all and we were in and out and he was quite a bit poorer after.

We planned to go to the movies to see Aeon Flux but had extra time so went shopping as well. We bought a raw food item, carrot cake. Of course it isn’t a cooked cake but raw carrots, cocoanut, sesame tahini, dates, figs, etc. formed into a cake like thing. It was quite good but I don’t know why they call the food after other things that they are not like at all.

We both liked the movie quite a bit. It is an interesting post-apocalyptic world, an action movie with lots of violence but I liked it anyway. Once home again Faol got out a drill and started working at something. He put a hole in the joist in the dining room. It turned out he was hanging the swing he got from Mark. We tried it out and I really liked it. I emailed Tom and told him I want us to get one. (grin)

After Faol went to work I had lunch while talking with Tom. I planned on a hot bath but ended up with a lukewarm one. I kept adding hot water but it never got better than medium warm. Sigh… Oh well. I worked on the finances and got the accounts reconciled to October but when I went to do November I discovered I had not entered his checks (he doesn’t actually use his check book much as he uses his debit card instead) and they were in his car with him so that was the end of that session.

I have been watching another rather lame movie on demand, called Aliens in the Wild Wild West. Funny furry alien, teens, and a way back machine that takes them into the wild west to rescue the mama alien and save the day.
