Well, I'm back to work after being sick last week. There are definitely benefits to being sick. Now if I could just stay home and not be sick. The work isn't that bad but it isn't that interesting either as it is mainly data entry. And of course there is the 1 hr and 20 min. commute each way. I just can't get up any enthusiasm for doing it and I am too tired when I get home to do much of what I would like to get done.
I really want to get back into walking my land several times a week but it seems like when I am not working I am short on time trying to catch up with all the things that need doing. Since I am going out to the Mysteries in September, and I have been told it is quite a hike up to get to the site, I would like to have several weeks of long hikes to get ready for it.
We've decided to replace my laptop so I am looking at reviews and specs on the web trying to decide what to get. There is a really great deal on a Compaq Presario at a store nearby but I am not too sure about getting a Compaq brand computer. The one that caught my eye though is a Quantex W-1410. ZDNet gave it a good review and it looks good on paper but it isn't carried by any local stores so I can't actually see one, pick it up, and put my hands on it to see if it feels right to me. Since I use a laptop, literally as a lap top, and as my main computer I want to make sure it is comfortable resting on my legs, won't burn a hole in them:), and fits me. The Dell Inspiron 5000 looks ok too and I can get a 5% discount through the University. Decisions, Decisions!
