Still sick. Now I have a low-grade fever. I emailed in sick and told them I wouldn't be going to work tomorrow. Instead I spent the day on the sofa with a box of tissues typing in my journal entries from Freedom Fest, coding the html, and uploading it.
I did find out though, that I made the Pilgrim's list for this year's CAW Eleusinian Mysteries. I am excited about it. I don't know much about it as the initiates do keep the secrets. As I understand it, it began as a sacred drama and re-enactment of the Persephone/Demeter myth but the Gods are allowed to transform and mature through the interactions so that the ritual has morphed to some extent through the years. It also varies as a function of the people who are carrying the energy of the various roles. Since it is an all night ritual and the site is located up a long mountain trail it is a physical, emotional, and psychological challenge. I hope I am up to it.
