Friday, I woke up from a dream that included a rather odd kind of stuffed animal. In the dream I was looking at a small quilted cat, all in whites and off whites with lace. But as I examined it I realized that it was actually the tail of a larger animal, which turned out to be a quilted cow with a single horn. A unicow, I called it in the dream. And that too, turned out to be a tail of a larger animal, a quilted horse. One of the horse's legs turned out to be a quilted rabbit with little ears that stuck up and out from the leg. I don't know what it was a symbol of but it struck me as being a good metaphor for psychological process. First one grabs old of a small tail that turns out to be attached to a larger tail, attached to a larger one, until if one is lucky that gets worked out. Then one starts all over on the next little bit that is grasped.
