Hmmm, we just came in from the hot tub. This is a wonderful toy! We relaxed in the hot water for 45 min, watching the trees, watching the birds fly overhead (saying don't drop any little presents please) as they flew to the birdfeeder. We talked a little in a very languid manner. I like that word - languid. I think of Aphrodite lying on her side in a sexy but relaxed manner on a comfortable pile of pillows. Languid...
Yesterday wasn't so languid as we had shopping to do in Madison. It is always a major trek with list of all the vitamins and herbs we need to stock up on, (I think we should just shop on the web but Tom wants us to check out prices at the store and compare first. Of course, we don't remember to keep to prices to check them out so we never get around to ordering them on the web:( Ah, well.) and various other odds and ends, check out hard drives for Firefly (he decided he would buy his through the web), go to the Gaming store for a book he wanted, go to a book store for me, etc.
By the time we got home we were pretty tired. We made dinner and collapsed in front of the TV. This is the season when we watch the most TV as we try out the new shows. Only a few make it to our regular schedule though. We're giving Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda a shot because well it's a Roddenberry, even if Kevin Sorbo does seem to play Hercules 1000 years in the future with a space ship and nova bombs instead of a sword. And of course Xena is back, the last year of Voyager; StarGate and Earth: Final Conflict are back; Dark Angel looks interesting so far. Then there is the more mainstream shows we watch like Ally, Providence, Judging Amy, and Family Law. I think I have mentioned before that TV is my drug of choice - it lets me unstress, stop thinking about hassels and problems or plans and details of all the projects that I have going at any one time. It provides the stimulus a Gemini needs but doesn't provide real information that must be processed, a drug.
Today I spent the morning doing homework and studying for my midterm on Thursday. Tom had a business trip in the afternoon. I finished my studying and started trying to catch up on the SweetWood financial records. I still haven't been able to bring them up-to-date as Jack keeps records in an idiosyncratic way. He is, however, learning to do it the way I want it done so that I can keep accurate records. When Tom came home we went into the hot tub. Ahhh...
