Running About

We planned today for running errands in town so I didn't have much of an opportunity to do my training program. I am resenting anything that takes me away from it. The main thing that we were going into Madison for though was the bushes to plant around the Dearinth. A friend said she would stop by and help us plant them on Friday so this was important. The bareroot bushes looked pretty good, good root system, already budding out so I have some confidence that they will survive. We also stopped at Home Depot to look at doors. This hot tub enclosure is going to block the way around the deck so we want to put two doors through it. I suppose it could be looked at as being too lazy to go around but the deck is too high off the ground for me to get back up on it without stairs which we would have to build anyway. The doors seem like a better option except for costing $90 a piece.

We went to two fabric stores so that I could try and find cloth the color of the fur on one of my animal guides but I didn't find anything that was the right color. I am looking for a kind of smoke blue or the color some clouds get when they have a certain amount of water in them, or at the right time of day. It is hard for me to hold the color in my mind when we are looking. And I spent most of the time saying, grayer than that, bluer than that, like that only much lighter… Well there are more fabric stores to go to yet.

Then we looked at Warner Park to see if it was suitable for our Pagan Pride celebration. It seemed fine. So we can reserve it and we will finally have a location and a date in September for the event. Now we just have to start doing some fund-raisers to get enough money to pay for it all.
