Today is Christmas and we are actually celebrating Yule at this time, this year. We were unable to get together with Corey before this and he has Tuesday and Wednesdays off. Tom helped me get started on dinner and wrapped some presents then headed off to Madison to pick up Corey (who has no car and doesn't drive yet, as far as I know.) I spent the next 1 1/2 hours cooking. I just got a call from Tom. Corey had gotten out of the shower so they would be leaving soon - he ended up waiting for him for an hour. He wasn't happy. But they should be here shortly and we will have wild turkey, yams, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and some kind of veggie. This year it looks like the vegetables will be sparse as we never got around to buying them while the other things we had on hand.
It will be good to see Corey. I haven't seen him since October. I haven't seen Kevin since before that. Children grow up and sometimes move away. It is sad for me not to see them more often but it is wonderful for me too, to know that my children are grown and well and getting on with their own lives.
My own life is in flux. I don't really know what direction I am going in - there are some themes still playing out, like becoming clergy in CAW, like possibly finding a way to have extended family that actually lives with or near each other, but these are the current details shaped by life long themes.
I have been playing with the new version of my astrology program. I really love all the variations and types of charts. One of the options is the Gods chart. It uses various asteroids and points, like Hades, Posiedon, Juno, Zeus, etc. It is really fascintating. Oops they just pulled up now. Time to go.
