Spent the day working on the department application. They want to know about publications and presentations, teaching experiences, activities, etc. Most of mine have been NeoPagan. I am really amazed how much of it there is from giving a workshop on "Gardnerian Wicca" at PSG years ago to publishing Converging Paths, a traditional Wiccan magazine, for 5 years. At first I was trying to figure out how to put it so that the experience gets listed but not necessarily all the details but then I decided, why not. I am proud of all the projects I have been involved with, for and in, the Pagan community. An article that I co-wrote with Judy Harrow on Traditionals and Eclectics more than 10 years ago, is still all over the web as one of the pieces offered by many sites on Gardnerianism.
While most of my Pagan activities aren't really directly related to counseling many of the skills are transferable. I have to admit if I get turned down I won't be terribly surprised, depressed, but not surprised. Then again if I do get accepted I won't be surprised either, relieved though.
A friend turned me on to another one of those addicting games, called Alchemy. It uses astrological runes and the object is to place them to make complete rows either horizontally or vertically. Runes have to be the same color and/or the same kind of rune. I can't get past the 6th board or more than 10,000 points. Every time you lose you have to begin over again so the games take about an hour if you don't lose right away. So I tried one of the other games called Bejeweled. It is a much simpler game. There is a small window of different colored gems with the object to swap positions of two gems to make a horizontal or vertical row of three. Those then disappear and more gems drop down until there are no more moves to make. Extra points are given for groups of 4 which add up to give bonus gems. I have been spending an inordinate time playing these games rather than doing all the other things I should be doing.
