Today was an in-town day. Tom and I ran errands most of the day. Having just discovered that I had to go into UW in person to order transcripts sent to their Graduate Admissions School and Counseling Psychology Depts. I didn't have much time to arrange it before the deadline so we made a special trip to get it done. As usual we stuffed the day with other errands to make up for the hour trip into town. We picked up the key at Wil-Mar Neighborhood center where the Madison Area Tea & Talk is held and I put down the $25 deposit. (Luckily when we have collected a couple bucks over the amount needed for the room fee and expenses I would put it aside in a T&Talk fund so there was just enough money to cover the deposit without my having to dig into my own pocket. That gets expensive after awhile and I can't afford to subsidize all the expenses.) We visited Firefly. He was asleep. Big surprise! (sarcasm) That was annoying but he managed to grumpily, very grumpily drag himself out of bed so that we could take him to the bank (we withdrew his cash from his account here and took it to him in Madison because there was some oddity about getting it transferred that just wasn't working) and then we took he and Tracey out to lunch. We ended up going to Noodle and Co. I like the variety of noodle dishes and would happily eat there quite often except for the little detail of not having the money to do it. It was nice to see him though.
Now if my ovary would have stopped twinging while we were out it would have been really nice. It is surprisingly painful considering there is nothing particularly wrong with them that not being perimenopausal wouldn't fix. When I got home there was an email from the professor whose recommendation was so late. She was going to send it FedEx - I had to tell her that they won't deliver to us in the winter though. They can't make it in and out our driveway. So she said that she would send it the next day by priority mail. I was very relieved.
