Full Moon Ritual

Thursday, February 08, 2001

Tom had a business meeting in Madison and was gone all day so after I finished dealing with a ton of email I decided to do a small full moon ritual. It was still daylight but I figured the moon was still full -- just on the other side of the earth:) Since Firefly left and we rearranged the living room we now have a space for an altar that is large enough to do a personal ritual and actually move around instead of doing a quiet meditational ritual. So I rather gleefully put out white quarter candles for the full moon. I used the water and salt dishes that a friend and given me, and the faerie wand that I made from the instructions in Kisma Stepanich's Fairy Wicca book. I did some naked mojo dancing and a little magic. It was really sweet. Afterwards, I carefully walked on the ice out to the oak tree to take the offering for the Good Folk. It is a good omen that I didn't slip on the ice:)
