Pagan Pride Committee Meeting

Monday, January 29, 2001

After the hot tubbing on Sunday we headed out to the first organizational meeting of the Pagan Pride committee. I am the local coordinator for the Madison area. It is important to me to get others involved in this so it is a real community effort. 11 people, counting me, showed up and we were able to divide tasks and get started. It all went quite well. There were a lot of good ideas and the various subcommittees will be able to continue to work on them. We are planning on having more events through the day with a program booklet. We hope to be able to sell ads in the program booklet to pay for the printing expense and possibly raise a little money to help pay for the Pagan Pride event. So currently people are looking into site selection information, vending licenses, food and music permits, and getting a local web page up but linked to the International Pagan Pride Day web site. I wanted to head up the ritual committee since that is one of my particular interests. Jack wanted to do that with me as well. Of course, we tend to overlap on these committees which is a good thing for providing backup and many hands to make the work light. By the time we got home I was pretty tired though. Tom and I just hung out the rest of the day and night.

Today has actually been pretty productive. Lots of little chores got done, like actually putting away all the altar items and cleaning the altar table.
