We made our decision on the appeals committee and Kira undertook the task of writing it up. She did a good job too. I suggested a couple of minor changes and she sent it on to the BoD. Hopefully that will be it. I don't know how the person who appealed will take it as we upheld the original decision after much reading of statements, and phone calls, and email, and online discussion. We made every effort to be fair and impartial. But I doubt that she will believe that.
I had a lot of respect for Kira before this. She is a remarkable woman in a lot of ways. Her posts, even in the midst of political flurries on the Feedback list, are almost always fair and insightful (I say almost not because I can remember one that was not but simply because it can't be possible that she is always that wise:) I have also been reading her online journal for months now and have only grown in respect for her. Now if she wasn't so darn cute and sexy too. Sigh… Anyway that respect has grown through working with her on the appeal as well.
It will be nice to see her face-to-face at Starwood. Her partner is damn sexy too.
