We went out to do yard work. I mowed the circle area and Tom cut up a small tree down on the driveway by the house. When I was a little more than half done it started to rain but I didn't want to leave it unfinished so just kept going. The thunder gave me some concern as it didn't really seem like the wisest choice to be out under a tall tree with a metal machine in a thunderstorm and I knew that I should go back in but… Anyway if my son is reading this and he does sometimes, be smarter than your mother and don't do it:) Tom heard on the news about someone who was struck by lightening out of a blue sky. A scientist said that lightening is always associated with a thunderstorm but it could be 10 miles away and still get you. Oops!
I also continued updating my journal and have uploaded all of June now. Now if I just get caught up writing my July entries. I have a tendency to write notes about what I want to talk about day by day but then don't get the chance to write them until later.
