Blowing out Phones

Monday July 23, 2001

I am very tired today and not very active. There is the unpacking to do, laundry to do, etc. but I am only getting a little of it done. I need to put my tent up and clean the inside as I didn't do it before I decamped. And Tom is going to find the leak in my air mattress so I can be comfortable at Grow Closer Festival which is in a couple of weeks.

I emailed my new love to thank him for a wonderful time, a courtesy I try to extend to all those I make love with. And I spent most of the day either thinking about him, talking about him, or sharing more of my Starwood experience with Tom. Later in the evening he called me. We spoke for a few moments and the phone went dead. He called back but it went dead again. He called from a different phone and told me the first one's batteries were dead. That phone went dead too. I figured about then he would give up but I was wrong. I got a call from a friend who told me that my new love wanted to speak with me but that he was so excited about it he had blown out two cell phones with his energy. They had shielded the phone and he was going to talk with a headset to keep the phone a little away from him. And that seemed to work because we were able to talk for nearly an hour. It's funny I don't remember much of what we said but I was buzzing afterwards.
