Scattering Day

Sunday June 3, 2001

I didn't get up and clean and vacuum. I wore down through the planning, preparation, and execution, especially with Tom having to work through it all. He usually does the clean up in the evening and shares the responsibility of keeping track of things. I woke up pretty tired. My family stayed overnight since the fog had been so bad the night before on their way home. We talked a while before I went out and looked for more wood, little stuff to make a cheery flame. We went through most of the wood that wasn't too wet. We really need to clean up the area that had the wood and do a wood work party. We finally did the closing ritual and a blessing for those traveling. People left. A few still here went in hot tub.

Sam is still here. His coat with his car keys seems to have disappeared. It looks like he will have to have his spare set sent here by priority mail so may be here til tuesday. We can't quite figure out where his coat could be. We think someone must have accidentally picked it up with their stuff but there were only three people still here who could have picked it up when they left and we called them. They said they didn't see it. It isn't in the house anywhere - we all looked several times. Sam looked in his tent and car several times and didn't find it there either. He is an easy quest to have around.

Tom and I are pretty burned out. We sat and watched two old Next Generation Startrek's in the evening then went to bed.
