Yesterday, I did the after-circle maintenance -- ironed the wax out of the rug and used a stain remover on the reddish-pink stains left from stepping on rose petals. Some of it came out and some didn't. This rug is carrying the history of our rituals stain by stain, waxy spot by waxy spot.
We still haven't been able to get our own car back up the hill to the house. Today I cleaned out the ash again from the furnace and got enough to ash the near hill, which we did. Then we drove out to do the food shopping and luckily were able to get back up to the house. I wasn't looking forward to walking up and down the hill with a bag of food to unload the car. We used to have a sled and I tied the bags into the sled and pulled them along the driveway the last time we had to park the car out at the end of the drive. We don't seem to have it anymore though, however it could be hiding in the barn. I will have to look for next time (and there always is a next time eventually in WI :)
