Breakfast Next Day

Sunday March 25, 2001

We had a sausage, egg, and sweet roll breakfast and spent the morning chatting. In the early afternoon we talked about ritual and what pieces of ritual we wanted to have in a regular circle casting. I was asked what my ideal ritual would be since I was the one having problems with what we were doing. I found it very difficult to answer until Tom assured me that no one was going to do it anyway. I found it very difficult to do. I very rarely will tell anyone what I want. Part of it is that I really am relatively easy going and if someone else wants to do something I am usually fine with doing what they want. But I am realizing that the end result is that I am so often compromising on what I desire that it takes a toll on me.

We agreed to draw a definite boundary to provide a consecrated focused area for action and interaction (a nestmates description:), to do an attuning by holding hands and Oming, to alert the quarters, to call the 7 directions, invoke deity within and deity without, to draw the circle boundary, asperge, and cense, and to make a statement of completion. Exactly how all this will be done is still in the air.

The next ritual is an all night ritual that is different from our usual style. That is our Walspurgisnacht/Beltane ritual, April 28th. And the one after that is BelSummer so we won't be implementing these changes for several months.

After people left Tom and I were very tired and literally sat around on the sofa not doing anything. We finally watched a couple of old Star Treks and then went to bed.
