I actually got quite a bit done today though I didn't expect to after the long weekend. Mostly I did chores like driving the garbage out to the end of the drive ½ mile away, put extra chlorine in the hot tub, did dishes, cleaned off the table and put all the papers and piles of stuff back on the table. I put the altar items away in the cabinet and cleaned off the altar and statue. I thought about doing the ritual ironing of the rug but didn't feel like moving the table back off the wax spot.
Having decided to dedicate time to doing a Priestess training course of my own devising I sat down and made notes on it. I went through my old notes on training ideas, lists of books that I thought would be beneficial, and came up with some basic ideas about how I would proceed. I had emailed a number of clergy asking for some advice but only one had responded by email and that was to tell me she would have to think about it. One other who is a close friend of mine did talk with me about it but I was disappointed that none of the others that I asked for advice (with the exception of the one who said she would get back to me), bothered to reply to me about this. As a postulant I guess I expected that there would be some help in my training.
Beltane is coming up. My plan is to attend the Annwfn Beltane so I ordered my airplane ticket and sent the money to the festival coordinator. I am looking forward to it. The lovely Tina and Seawitch are going to host me before and after the festival, pick me up at the airport, even drive me to the site (they are going too) as well as loan me a tent. One of the things that I feel really good about is that most CAW folk are so generous and helpful to each other. I know that there will be someone in CA who will be completely willing to help, to share what they have, to go out of their way to help me when I go out there. Just as we would be equally willing to offer our hospitality. It is a good feeling to have that kind of community when we are so distant physically.
