The roses from the ritual have been leafing out so I checked out propagating roses from stems. I remember reading about starting new bushes from cut flowers. I found a site that recommended a three layer rooting process, sand, perlite, and potting soil. I need a rooting hormone though. It might not work but wouldn't it be kind of cool to get rose bushes growing from the flowers used in our ritual?

I entered the Nest to Nest finances - the expenses for the Spring issue. This is my tithe as a scion so I keep track of it all and then send in the record showing what I have spent. Scions are supposed to tithe one hour of pay per month. The minimum is $5.00 an hour or $60.00 a year, which is only $8 over and above the cost of a year's membership in CAW. I don't have a paying job at the moment so don't have an hourly wage. Nest to Nest costs more than that though.

The priestess training course I am designing for myself is coming along. I spent more time today working on it. I also checked out some websites with training programs for more ideas.

I have finally begun to work on BelSummer. Well I have been working on it on and off for some time but I spent some more concentrated time working on it. It isn't done yet though. I still have to rework the 7 Souls Ritual and get out some advertising for it.

We are going to the Midwest Poly Convention over the weekend so I went to the webpage to get directions to the con. We are sharing a room with friends to ease the expense.

I spent most of the evening looking for patterns for a tunic. I have this idea for new ritual garb. I want a tunic that is the same color as the fur on the shamanic guide I got in a journey I took last year. Then I am thinking of putting a black tree shape on it. Then I also looked for beads for Belsummer on the web. I was interested in finding shapes of beads that related to the 7 Souls. It turned out to be rather depressing. Since we only ask for a $5.00 donation there isn't any money to cover the cost of beads so I had to find inexpensive beads. All the ones that I thought suitable were too expensive. But Kim is into beading so I emailed her and asked her to bring bead catalogs to the polycon.
