There was an emotional issue between F. and R. I was concerned about it. I find that their stuff affects my mood. I had a good time with F. though during the day while she was at work. He played Diablo 2 on my machine. Later I looked for a different flight to go home on. R. came home from work but she was still upset so I talked with her. I was worried that maybe it would be better if I didn't stay as I didn't want to make their situation worse somehow but she told me that my staying was a bright point for her and we had a good talk. In the midst of her upset she made me feel very welcome - she is a very gracious woman.
We went to have dinner with their ex-HPS and her partner, and discuss the concept of cross-initiation. When we got there they were tiling their kitchen with ceramic tiles. I liked the pattern. It will be quite lovely when they have it finished. They had the kitchen somewhat barricaded in an attempt to keep their two large dogs from walking on the tiles. The dogs would be able to catch their nails in the netting holding the tiles together since there wasn't any grout yet. Also as they ran across the tiles they moved them out of alignment.
So 4 of us went out to a nearby East Indian restaurant to order out and bring back dinner while the man remained to finish the tile. The restaurant was having a wedding reception but let us in to order since we were not staying. We ordered several dishes to share: curried cauliflower and potatoes, some kind of creamed spinach, a kind of dal, tandoori chicken, vegetable bryani, and lamb bryani.
F. and R. were given the authority by their HPS to do an initiation of us as their part of the cross-initiation - so looks like we will move forward on that. This will be the 4th tradition that I have been initiated in - I wonder how the energy will feel. For some reason though by the time we left I was pretty tired and slept/drifted in the car and poured myself into bed when we got home.
