Normally this is a day that both R. and F. work but we all went in so F. could check his appointments for readings. He didn't have any already set up so would just be waiting for calls or walk-ins. He took the day off instead and we went to the Lake Shrine of the Self Realization Fellowship of Parmahansa Yogananda. I really liked it. It was so peaceful and I wandered about in a kind of blissful daze. There is a lake with a path around it filled with wonderful plants, shrines of various kinds, places to sit and meditate, and the whole place has a wonderful feel. There is also a temple. We walked about the lake and sat for a time looking over the lake, enjoying the swan and the waterfall. We looked into each other's eyes, enjoying the merging energies of our love. We continued around the path, then walked up the many stairs to the temple. F. had not gone into the temple before so it was nice to be able to do it together. We sat in the temple room with others and I was very aware of his energy. It was, for me, a sweet meditation.
Afterwards we went to the Descanso Gardens. We looked up and saw a hawk far off. F. suggested we call it so we visualized a rising current upwards to tempt the hawk in our direction. After several minutes we decided that perhaps it wasn't working and started to leave but I saw the hawk fly in our direction, fly overhead, and continue on. Sometimes you just have to give the magick time to work.
There was an open latticework roof over an area with tables. Huge wisteria vines grew up and over the lattice with lovely long green seedpods hanging down. We looked on the ground so I could see what the seeds looked like, and F. searched diligently but didn't find any. F. took one of the pods and slipped it to me so that I could bring it home and grow it here. I am sure that we should not have taken it but I am glad that I have it. Later he picked a holly berry for the same reason. I have never seen holly plants other than little ones in pots. These were bushes taller than I am.
These gardens are beautiful and I had a sense of peace and a spiritual connection to the land, which was enhanced by being there with him. There was a small train and track and we decided to ride it. It was kind of fun. We sat on top of the train with the seat between our legs. I had this sudden image of people riding it by being linked with the person behind them, kind of like a daisy chain and I wondered how the vibration of it would enhance the experience. Afterwards we headed through the rose garden, which was extensive. F. was looking for rabbits. He said they were always over in that area and he liked to see them. Sure enough we saw several groups of 2 - 4 munching on the grass.
We picked up R. at the Psychic Eye. While we waited I talked astrology with some of the clerks in the store. I enjoyed doing it and began to think about trying to make enough money through astrological consulting to at least provide as much as a part time job would. Then I wouldn't have to get a straight job for awhile. Afterwards we met with a woman who holds two national awards, one for American Dance and one for something related to being a contortionist. N. is a beautiful lady with a gentle spirit of steel. It was a very interesting dinner. R. and F. did some psychic reading and other work with her. I found myself getting some images and a sense of information as well and made a few comments. I really love the way our energies seem to mesh and the support I am able to provide for them. I held a space of energy around us to dim the energies the waitress was sending us. She really wanted us to leave as we had eaten and finished and continued to sit and talk. Perhaps if we had ordered more coffee or something she would have been less uncomfortable. Afterwards F. mentioned that he appreciated the way I support him at appropriate times, and R. commented on how good my energies felt with theirs.
Later F. and I went out to a semi-private party at Gemini Manor, which is a private residence (though I did find it mentioned on the web). The people that were in the area of the house that we were in, expressed a BDSM theme to the party, however, there were other areas with more conservative people. But I got to meet some of F.'s friends. I found it quite interesting. I wouldn't mind going back again the next time I am in town and getting to know his friends a little better.
