Finally, Pagan Pride Day

Sunday September 16, 2001

There were so many things to get ready and I was in an odd state. My temper was somewhat chancy and I raised my voice somewhat with Tom. He ended up doing most of the gathering and packing up and I lay down and closed my eyes for about ½ hour trying to relax and get in the proper mood. Then we headed out 45 min. late.

People were waiting to set up when we got there but only a few so it wasn't too bad. We opened up the shelter and the altars were set up. We only had been able to get groups to do 4 of them but perhaps if we do it again next year we will be able to get more groups to take one on. There was a good turn out - about what it was last year, though I admit to having hoped for a better one. Again I hope to see it grow next year. The workshops seemed good. People mingled and conversed. I seemed to have people to talk with the whole time and felt extremely occupied. I never made it to a workshop, as there were people who wanted to connect with me for various reasons all day. The ritual went well with a few last minute additions from participants. All in all it was a good day and we collected 175 lbs of food in the food drive.
