I broke my fast this morning with my usual soft/med. boiled eggs. There were times during this fast when it seemed harder than usual not to eat. Tom fried up a brat, for example, and the aroma filled the house. That made fasting pretty difficult but I did stick to my plan for it. And we agreed that next fast we will make sure that he has things to eat that don't involve cooking - like sandwiches and salads.
Phoenix brought her juicer and produce so that Saturday I had fresh juice. It was really yummy but we sure went through a lot of produce. We had apple-pear juice, carrot-apple juice, carrot-apple-cabbage-lime juice, and it was all good. We also have two bowls of pulp to take out to the compost bin so this seems very wasteful of food to me. But it was kind of fun. She did some visionquesting Friday night but Saturday we talked while I did my exercises. She showed me some different ones that she was learning in an intense exercise class she is taking. We caught up some with what is going on in our lives. F. called and I went off to talk with him for awhile.
Then we got to the Reiki 2 attunement. We did a relaxation meditation to Kay Gardner's "Rainbow Path," one of my all time favorites for this kind of thing. I like to do a slow chakra dance to it as well. Then she did the attunement. It is really quite interesting to feel the energy. After the attunement she went over the symbols with me, talked about their use, absent healing, etc. and we did an absent healing for a friend who has given me general permission for that kind of thing. It was pretty laid back but fun.
A little later a new friend of hers came to visit and meet us. I liked him. He seems very friendly and open, easy to talk to, gentle. Anyway she did Reiki 1 with him and we sat in on it and got a review. We spent most of the late afternoon and evening just chatting, did some hot tubbing in the rain. I enjoyed that. And when we came back in she sang some and he played guitar. It turns out that he has piano tuning equipment at home and has agreed to tune my hammered dulcimer so I can start actually trying to learn how to play it. They stay in tune pretty well so if he gets it in tune I will be able to practice with it for quite awhile before it is out of tune enough that I can't stand it. Maybe by then I will have learned to tune it myself. It could happen… So he is taking it with him and hopefully I will get it back in a few weeks and be able to work on learning while I am still thinking about doing that.
I felt pretty blissed out all day Saturday from the fasting. It was really nice. My metabolism stayed up and I felt really energized. I feel pretty good this morning too although I am more in a quiet, peaceful kind of mode.
