Gift Opening

Wednesday December 25, 2002

The day started well for me. I woke up and woke up Tom and asked him if he wanted to get me tea and toast and come back to bed to make love or should I just get up and start my day. Of course, it was 5:30 am and he was definitely not thrilled with the early start but… Later we finished wrapping gifts and then opened them. We had held off thinking we would be seeing our youngest this week but that fell through so we had Xmas instead of Yule for exchanging our gifts. I got him chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate. He got me a lovely t-shirt with a witch and faeries on it and a sexy, romantic black frilly shirt. I think I look pretty good in it. He preferred it worn open down the front though ;) I also got a faery t-shirt from my son and daughter-in-law as well as three frozen tortas (filled puff pastry) We ate the mushroom garlic one last night with dinner. Yum! Tom got chocolate from them but it had apparently gotten way hot during shipping so we have to contact the store and complain. Hopefully they will send him one that is in better shape.

Afterwards I spent the afternoon with my computer on my desk. I filed a bit, entered some paper items and threw the paper away, and then spent time deleting and uninstalling old junk from my computer. I had a complete backup of all the Windows 95 files that had been in the last laptop. We just copied everything over into a file called Magick, which was the name of my computer then. And apparently I never went back into that to check out the items that didn't just get directly copied over for immediate use. Now I have about 2 Gig. more free disk space and I really haven't finished deleting everything yet. But I spent enough time fiddling with it for today.

Yesterday I got 1/2 of the month of July coded and uploaded to my journal and I hope to get the rest of the month done today. I realize that it is probably not of great interest to any who might read this journal since it isn't current but I wrote it. I might as well get it up.
