Refinancing

Friday February 1, 2002

I arrived home yesterday. Tom was waiting for me, as the plane was late. The trip home was through the snow and the roads were covered. Winter has definitely arrived and it was quite a shock from greenery and bright blooms to winter white and windy cold. Luckily Tom remembered to bring my coat to the airport.

In the morning we went to the bank to finalize the refinancing of our land. We have finally, after 18 yrs been able to obtain a long term fixed rate mortgage rather than the 5 yr. renewable flexible rate mortgage we have had. So our payments are going down $200 a month. That is almost enough money to pay for health insurance.

In the afternoon I took a nap -- my schedule is off. And we reconnected later in the day. It was very nice. It has been easier this time. I think it is because I stayed the full three weeks. Somehow it is just much harder for me to come home after only two weeks. It isn't that it is any easier to leave F. after three weeks but that I am having stronger feelings of wanting to be here by then.
