I felt the energy shift today. It happens every year about this time but with the weather being so strange this winter I didn't really expect to have an Imbolc thaw. But despite my being sick with a cold I felt the rising tide of energy. The day was sunny and warm, nearly 40 degrees. Snow is melting off the roof from the last snowfall (one of only a few this winter so far). The squirrels have been rambunctious every warm day but this day the birds have joined them. I feel the Imbolc energy in the earth and in the way the animals react, and in myself. It's late afternoon now and I am tired, still the morning's energy was optimistic and filled with the promise of spring and summer to come. Life is good. I want to be up and doing, going, being. But my body wants to rest and wait for health to return. Still I felt the energy shift today.
