Kevin came to spend the weekend with us. It was really good to see him. We visited and had dinner. I made barbequed country style ribs and cheese-filled spinach pancakes with creamed pea sauce on top. We exchanged gifts for our various June birthdays and a late Father's Day. Tom got all chocolate of various kinds so he was happy. And with the chocolate cake for dessert you would think that it would be way too much chocolate but he would definitely argue that it wasn't possible to have too much chocolate. I got an anklet with little crescent moon dangles, and little food treats (shrimp and lobster pate). We gave Kevin a Dragon shirt, which I got at Little Tokyo in L.A., and a little chocolate. All in all it was a very nice time.
F. called when I wasn't expecting to hear from him as he and his partner had gone off for a vacation at Harbin Hot Springs. But their car broke down and they had to be towed :( They were home again. Of course, I was glad to hear from him but I felt it was a shame that it spoiled their lovely plans. They have been needing to have some time off for fun like that and I wish they could have gotten it.
