Sunday was our nest Spring Equinox. It went fine. Two of my nest mates led the circle. J. was upset because she had only a few hours sleep the night before and then forgot a bag with some of the altar accoutrements. But we were able to pull it all together so it really wasn't a big deal that she forgot them and she has a lot going on in her life. We did a cone of power/magickal working. I was a little uncomfortable with it since it combined several very different targets into one working. J. said that was how it was usually done in the circles that she had been in. I don't think that I have been in circles in which it was combined like that myself. And I also don't think it is good magickal technique since it makes it very difficult to focus and send when the workings are for different purposes and for different targets. It seems to me to be much less effective that way. Most of my training has involved very specific and intentionally focused work. It felt good though as a power raising and the group blended well.
Two other nesties stayed overnight after the ritual. It was nice to wake up on Monday and have conversations with them. I did my exercises during some of it and they seemed to go much faster. A little later we went in the hot tub. I enjoyed that.
F. called to tell me all about the sensual/sexual puja that he attended over the weekend. He went with an old lover and had an opportunity to do some reconnecting. I was delighted that he was going to see her again and I hope that it works out for me to meet her. She is interested in community and is also poly and quite well known in the community.
In the afternoon I was able to get some work done on the SweetWood Temenos web site so felt that it was a fairly productive day despite the late start.
Today I got more done and uploaded. Tom went into Madison to take our son driving again. He was a little later getting home as he stopped by our nestmates and they needed him to take them to pick up their car. While he was gone I meditated at my altar and did some magick. That was very nice. I need to do more of it.
