Mother's Day

Sunday May 12, 2002

Tom went in to Madison to pick up my youngest son and bring him home to celebrate Mother's Day. He had gotten the day off so he could visit - normally he works on Sunday. It was good to see him. The last time I saw him was Easter, I think. I had asked for sushi for Mother's Day dinner so Tom picked up some ready made at Kohl's. He also made chow mein noodles with a peanut sauce. We put the sushi on the "coffee" table (really my laptops home when it isn't in my lap) in the living room and I sat on a pillow on the floor. Ah wasabi! What a treat!

I opened my presents and received windchimes to put near the front door to the east (we have ones south and west now so I just need one more set for the north), a blue gazing ball and faerie pedestal for the garden, and two Science Fiction/Fantasy books. Just what I wanted.

My oldest son and his partner left late afternoon but my youngest stayed and we watched the first episode of Dinotopia together. It was pretty simplistic but I enjoyed it anyway. Then Tom took him home again.
